My name is Yue HUANG, my MBTI is INFJ-T, with 92% Introversion and 94% Judging. I am currently an MPhil student from Data Science and Analytics Thrust at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) under the guidance of Prof. Jing TANG. I am deeply interested in the Blockchain Protocols, Decentralized Finance (DeFi) Ecosystem, Smart Contracts, and MEV Strategies. My research focus on DeFi measurements and security issues. And currently, I am trying to use LLM as a service for my research in blockchain.

I would graduate in 2025 August. I am looking for a potential Ph.D position related to the above topics. If you are interested in my experiences, please feel free to reach out through hhhhhy499 AT gmail.com or yhuang797 AT connect.hkust-gz.edu.cn.

If you’re interested in collaborating or exploring potential research opportunities, please don’t hesitate to reach out (带带弟弟 in Chinese).

I have maintained a github repo, collecting paper regarding DeFi and Blockchain. Also, I contributed some PRs(Top 3 contributor) towards a similar repo(463 🌟).

  • 2024.10:  📌📌 Released our paper Two Sides of the Same Coin: Large-scale Measurements of Builder and Rollup after EIP-4844. In this paper, We evaluate the strategies of builders and rollups after EIP-4844. We find that the efficiency of their strategies is like the two sides of the same coin. When the builders strategy is efficient, rollups may need to pay more fees. Oppositely, when rollups adopt the efficient strategy and offer lower fees, builders may face block profits lower than potential profits. Any feedback is welcome.
  • 2024.10:  📌📌 Released our paper Private Order Flows and Builder Bidding Dynamics: The Road to Monopoly in Ethereum’s Block Building Market. Any feedback is welcome.
  • 2024.06:  🎉🎉 Submitted a paper toward S&P 2025. In this paper, we identified two asymmetries among builders through the examination of builder bidding data, which led to different block valuations and bidding strategies during the MEV-Boost auction stage. By employing the concepts of expectational and robust fairness, we demonstrated that the asymmetry fosters a monopolistic tendency, exacerbating fairness erosion within the network. Furthermore, we also explored the implications of a monopolistic builder scenario, highlighting the negative effects of earnings losses of proposers and discrimination in block construction.
